Healthy appetite for new packs

Award-winning French company Mix Buffet, a fresh food specialist, has successfully adopted the Peelpaq® concept. In July 2014 the company introduced the new packaging for its ranges stocked in System-U supermarkets in France. It will also be distributing the new packs in Delhaize supermarkets in Belgium.


Mix Buffet is using the packaging for many of its most popular prepared salads, including grated carrots with vinaigrette, (carrotte rapée), dressed beetroot salad, cucumber salad, tabouleh, Caesar salad and other ready-to-eat salad and vegetable dishes.


The launch of the packaging followed an intense collaboration between ANL Plastics, Mix Buffet and Mix Buffet’s machine manufacturer. The new packaging is being used on four production lines. The transition to the new solution been smooth, creating packs that fill and seal well, and are easily transported. Using Peelpaq®, Mix Buffet has been able to improve pack functionality, and create cartons that look more attractive and have extra visual appeal.


The new packaging has enabled Mix Buffet to differentiate its products and stand out in a highly competitive supermarket environment. Having made a strong impact in store, the company has already increased its order – which is the strongest possible endorsement that Peelpaq® really delivers on its fresh food promise.
